Schools are prohibited by NCAA rules from announcing commitments from recruits
unless they have signed something legally binding in writing (usually a Letter of
Intent). They are not allowed to publicly announce verbal commitments. Prospects may
announce commitments, if they choose to do so, but they are not binding.
