What many figured to be a tough battle wasn't. Mike Heinke, a transfer from Providence, was superb in his first meeting between his former school allowing only two goals in the 5-2 win.

The win also marked the first for UNH head coach Dick Umile at Schneider Arena in Providence. The Wildcats have historically had a tough time there.

UNH remains undefeated at 6-0 and 2-0 in Hockey East. Providence drops to 2-5, 0-5 in Hockey East.

No further details available at this time.

New Hampshire will face RPI in Troy on Tuesday night.
