College players selected in the 1st round of the NHL draft (US college
players):
 
Paul Kariya was selected 4th I believe my the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. (Quack!!)
Personally, I would think that just because of the nickname, this might keep
him at Maine for the next three years.  I would want to remain a Black Bear as
long as I could before having to become one of the Mighty Ducklings. :-)
 
Miami of Ohio's Kevyn Adams was selected by Boston near the end of the first
