UMaine two-sport star Justin Tomberlin, has signed a pro-baseball contract with
the Minnesota Twins.  He will be playing for the class A team in Fort Wayne.
He is passing up his final year of eligibility stating that at his age, 22,
it's time to start his pro career.
  In 1992-3, he played for both the hockey national champion Black Bearsand
the baseball team that qualified for the NCAAs.   He batted around .340 during
the season and .441 in the postseason.  He is a Minnesota native.
