NMU would be the most likely team to move over, but I seem to recall
that they moved to the CCHA to get better access to the Detroit
marketplace, and I'm not sure those considerations have changed any.
If MTU were going to go back to the CCHA, it seems that they would
have done it quickly after Northern left. From what I remember at the
time, their view was that their participation in the GLI gave them
sufficient recognition in the Detroit area.

As for UNO, I think their window for joining the WCHA has closed. When
UNO added hockey, it would have made the most sense for them to join
the WCHA, because UNO was a member of the North Central Conference -
along with UND, SCSU, Mankato and Duluth. Therefore, some of their
hockey opponents would have been the same as their football and
basketball opponents - schools UNO was used to dealing with. However,
the disintegration of the NCC sent UNO into a different conference
than the Minnesota schools, so that incentive is gone.
