UMASS DARTMOUTH GOALIE HONORED BY ECAC NORTHEAST CONFERENCE
 

CAPE COD, MA– Sophomore goaltender Jeff Green (Medway, MA/Valley Jr. Warriors) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s hockey team has been were honored for his performance last weekend.

Green has been named Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Northeast Goaltender of the Week. It is the second time this season he has been so honored. 

Green allowed two goals in each game at the Babson Invitational Tournament, as the Corsairs won the championship, defeating the host Beavers, 6-2, and Geneseo State, 6-2. Green made 60 saves in the two contests, was named to the All-Tournament Team, and improved his overall record to 7-0-0 this season and 13-0-0 since joining the Corsairs as a freshman.

“Jeff had a great week,” said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach John Rolli. “He played very well at the Babson Invitational Tournament, and continued his excellent play this season.”

The Corsairs return to action when they host Curry at the Hetland Memorial Arena Saturday.
