CCHA PLAYER-OF-THE-WEEK: Bowling Green sophomore goaltender Angelo Libertucci
has been named CCHA Player-of-the-Week for the weekend of November 23-25.
Libertucci, a 5-10, 165 lb. native of Toronto, Ontario, recorded both wins in
the Falcons home-and-home sweep of Western Michigan. In Friday's 5-1 Bowling
Green win at home, Libertucci allowed a goal just 2:49 into the contest then
blanked the Broncos for the next 117:11 of the weekend. Libertucci made 36
saves on the weekend for a .973 saves percentage. He recorded his first
collegiate shutout Saturday while making 23 saves.
Libertucci is now 8-2-1 with a 3.51 gaa this season. This is the first time
that he has been named CCHA Player-Of-The-Week.

in his 16th year). Series: The Lakers have a 38-23-5 lead, with LSSU having
compiled a 10-0-2 mark vs. the Buckeyes in the last 12 meetings. Last Meeting:
Feb. 9-10 at LSSU, the Lakers won twice, 10-2 and 7-4, with Jeff Napierala
scoring three goals each night. Last Meeting at OSU: Dec. 1-2, 1989, LSSU won
6-5 (OT) Friday on a goal by Tim Harris, and 3-1 Saturday.
UIC at Bowling Green, Nov. 30-Dec. 1 at BGSU Ice Arena (5,000). Friday's game

(6-3-5 in his first year). Series: The Spartans lead 25-12-2. MSU has eight
wins and one tie in the last 10 meetings. Last Meeting: Mar. 2-3 in the CCHA
First Round at MSU, the Spartans won 6-3 Friday and 13-1 Saturday. Peter White
and Rob Woodward each had hat tricks in the Saturday game. Last Meeting at

35 CCHA players in NHL: Thirty-five former CCHA players have seen action in
the NHL so far this season. BGSU leads the way with 11, while MSU has 10.
Libertucci takes over lead league in wins: Bowling Green sophomore netminder
Angelo Libertucci recorded a pair of wins over the weekend to raise his season
record to 8-2-1 (his eight wins are top in the CCHA). He stopped 36 of 37
(.973) Bronco shots in the BGSU home-and-home sweep.
Bulldogs in midst of seven-game unbeaten streak: Since a 3-2 overtime loss at
Michigan on November 2nd, Ferris State has compiled a 5-0-2 overall record,
while scoring at least one goal in 19 of 21 periods. The Bulldogs are also
5-1-1 on Saturday's including four consecutive Saturday victories.
Felsner and Roberts point-streaks continue: Michigan junior right wing Denny
Felsner has a point in 23 straight games dating back to February 10th of last
season. During the streak, Felsner has 26 goals and 18 assists for 44 points.
His linemate for most of the games has been sophomore left wing David Roberts
who is currently riding a 14 game point-streak. Roberts has 10 goals and 17
assists dating back to March 11th of last year.
Mazzoli continues to shine between FSU pipes: Ferris State freshman
goaltender Pat Mazzoli made 44 saves in Saturday's 4-1 win over visiting Lake
Superior (by period 15-13-16). The win raises his record to 4-0-1 with a 2.56
goals against average and a league leading .929 saves percentage.
MSU records first back-to-back shutouts in four years: The last time the
Spartans blanked their opponents in two consecutive games was on November 22,
1986 (4-0 over Maine) and November 26, 1986 (6-0 over Michigan Tech). Former
MSU goalies Bob Essensa and Norm Foster combined in the shutout of the Black
Bears while Essensa went the distance against the Huskies.
Ten different CCHA players have recorded GTG: In four of Ferris State's five
overtime ties they have scored the final goal of the game. Recording game-
tying goals this year have been Brett Harkins (BGSU); Bob Nardella, Jeff
Jestadt, John dePourcq and Mike May (FSU); Michael Smith (LSSU); Jim Cummins
and Kerry Russell (MSU); Mike Merriman (OSU); and Tom Auge (WMU).
