The Committee may have found their way of injecting "mystery" into the selection.

Allowing for upsets in the CCHA, ECAC and WCHA playoffs, the PWR cuttoff for at-large bids may be anywhere from 11-14. The current PWR has:

12 Ohio State (OS) 18 .5528
13 Harvard (Ha) 16 .5543
14 Michigan State (MS) 15 .5462
15t St. Cloud State (SC) 14 .5524
15t Providence (Pv) 14 .5461

But that may change depending on the magnitude of the bonus, as can be seen using USCHO's Add Your Own Bonus page:
http://www.uscho.com/polls/pwrbonus.php

Adding a bonus of 0.003 for a road "quality win",
0.002 for neutral ice, and 0.001 for home

12 Ohio State (OS) 17 .5548
13 St. Cloud State (SC) 16 .5554
14t Harvard (Ha) 15 .5543
14t Providence (Pv) 15 .5481
16 Michigan State (MS) 14 .5462

I have no idea if these are reasonable bonus values, but if they are, it's entirely possible that some teams' seasons may end because of a secret bonus in the selection process.
