Your point is good that while the Frozen Four is most certainly in the black, the regionals may not be money-makers, but why in particular the Western regionals?  I would think the Western regional attendance would be highly dependent on the sites, but this year they're in Mariucci and Yost, more or less guarranteed to have their home teams in arenas where they routinely sell out 10000 and 7000 (?) seats, respectively.
