For several years our UNH group, spearheaded by my wife, has purchased
tickets as a group for the Worcester Regionals. Because of the uncertainty
of where UNH might wind up this year, Providence, Worcester or (egads!) out
west, most people have decided to hold off on buying tickets until the
selections and seedings are announced.

The other day there was a phone message from the group ticket person at the
Centrum inquiring if we were still interested in group tickets and also
letting us know that the two session package price had dropped from $50 to
$44.

Folks, we are two short weeks away from the regionals and they are still out
there pumping ticket sales. This indicates to me that tickets are not going
fast and unless there are some attractive matchups at both Providence and
Worcester, the arenas may not be close to full.

There has been a lot of talk on this board and over on USCHO about potential
seedings but, if I were a betting man, I would wager that teams with big
followings - Maine, UNH, BC, Cornell - will stay East regardless. The NC$$
cannot permit anything else or they will take a financial bath.
