After reading a few posts about NHL style fights in college hockey
games and about the Colgate-Northeastern game played at RPI, my
interest was piqued about something I heard when I first attended
RPI in 1968. Maybe someone can confirm or deny the story.

When I came to RPI, I was told that the reason we had not (or were
not) playing Colgate was because there was a huge fight involving
players and spectators in a previous game. The game was supposedly
halted at that point and future games were taken off the schedule
for few years. I suppose that game (if it really happened), must
have occurred in the early to middle sixties. Since I am trying to
remember something about 25 years old, I may be all washed up.
Maybe some old hockey fan in the east knows the truth.

All the fight talk got my curiosity up.
