Every thing seems real straight-forward this year. I am not sure if even
the committee can screw these up. (^:
 
Looks like PWR will mimick the selection/seeding process this time. The
only minor hitch I see is that after Wisconsin gets sent east (5th highest
western team), they get re-seeded above UNH. Does not really matter tho
since the two teams still end up playing each other.
 
6 east and 6 west, 3 from each conference.
 
A lot of potential ties and confusing situations were avoided when
Princeton won. Otherwise, we could have had a three-way criteria comparison
standoff between SCSU, NU and NMU, and other nasties.
 
And a REAL BIG gap between the lowest ranked at-large bid (Colorado
College) and the next few choices (SCSU, NU, ...). There is a 2-team buffer
of auto bids.
 
Certainly an unusual play-off year. But it looks like the NCAA's system
holds up and will give us reasonable results.
