Two reasons why Tom Poti wasn't drafted until the third round was
because he:
1. Put up his numbers against fairly weak competition.
2. He didn't show up to play every night, despite his 73 points (14 G,
 59 A) in 28 GP.
 
I understand that these were two of the reasons that Tom Poti wasn't
drafted until the third round by the Edmonton Oilers.
