At a press conference yesterday, Lee Roy spoke about Travis' medical
condition. Travis is not doing well at the present time and has been
suffering from a very serious bed sore near his tailbone. Attempts to
close the sore have been made repeatedly, but it reopens under only
slight stress each time it appears that it is sufficiently healed.
This has prevented Travis from being able to progress to more useful
and helpful physical therapy.

It was also mentioned that Travis has lost about 40 pounds, almost a
quarter of the 166 pounds he weighed when he arrived at BU. He also
had a sudden loss of weight recently, which has again required that he
take food directly into his stomach via a feeding tube.

"Travis took a turn for the worse yesterday in his road to recovery,
unfortunately. This is about the 90th day that he's been flat on his
back, and they thought he'd be sitting up by now. We are right back to
ground zero," Lee Roy was quoted saying in the Boston Globe.

Mr. Roy also was quoted saying, "It is very, very grueling for Travis.
It is very, very tough on him mentally. He needs to feel good about
something in his rehabilitation, but again... that was difficult
yesterday. But he's a gritty kid. He's a fighter."
