were overtime periods in college hockey ever NOT sudden-death? is there any
support for overtimes of set time periods (5 or 10 minutes) where, even if
you maybe give up a fluke goal, you have some time to try to re-tie the
score (or win, or lose even worse)?
has there ever been support for an annual pre-season or holiday season
tournament which featured the expected best team of each conference? i
think such a tourney would draw well (i.e. put a few $$ in the nc$$ coffers),
and would give eastern teams one more opportunity to show they're not all
that bad (or to fall flat on their faces again). of course, rules on how
many years a team would have to sit out before playing in the tournament
again would exist. which arena would get the honor of hosting such an event?
the new (boston) garden?
any guesses as to how many empty seats there will be in the forum for the
bu-maine-princeton-notre dame freeze-out this winter?!!
