MCCULLOUGH NAMED ECAC NE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CENTERVILLE, MA– Junior forward Kyle McCullough (Danvers, MA/Boston Jr. Blackhawks) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth hockey team has been honored by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference..

McCullough has been named ECAC Northeast Player of the Week.

McCullough scored six goals and added an assist in two games last week. He had a career-high four goals last Saturday as the Corsairs defeated ECAC Northeast Conference opponent Southern New Hampshire, 5-1, at the Hetland Memorial Ice Arena. McCullough had scored two goals and added an assist against UMass Boston last Tuesday evening. He is currently tied for fifth in the ECAC Northeast Division in points (17, 1.41 per game) and is second in goals 13, 0.76 per game).

“Kyle had a phenomenal week, with two goals and an assist against UMass Boston in the middle of the week followed by a four-goal performance last Saturday,” said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach John Rolli. “He scored our first goal against Southern New Hampshire, and followed that with consecutive goals in the second period for a natural hat trick. Kyle is a pure goal scorer.”

The Corsairs are 13-4-0, 5-1-0 in ECAC Northeast play. They will seek their tenth win in a row when they host Suffolk tonight.
