This term amuses me.  What kind of hat trick is it if there ARE intervening
goals by a teammate -- or depending on your point of view, by the other
team, or if the feat extends over more than one period?  An "artificial" hat
trick?  An "unnatural" hat trick?

In youth hockey, I once saw a hat trick scored on a single shift.  Someone
referred to it as a "pure" hat trick.
