I watched a bit of Good Morning America this morning as I made myself late
for work.  They did a nice article on Travis Roy.
 
His mom, dad, and primary care physician were interviewed.  Travis's medical
condition is improving:  he regained the use of his voice, and the doctor
said he was regaining use of some muscles, but did not specify which
muscles.  He has been removed from the ventilator.
 
His parents are delighted that he maintains his good spirits.  They're
optimistic that Travis will be able to attend his sister's wedding in late
April.
