ORONO, Maine-- The University of Maine avenged its Jan. 28 loss
at UMass-Amherst Saturday night, beating the Minutemen 7-0.

Brad Purdie led the Black Bears with two goals and two assists,
while Tom Lovell scored two goals. Goaltender Blair Allison
got the win, tieing the Maine goaltender record for most wins
in a season, at 25. Allison is tied with Scott King and Garth
Snow for the record.

Blair Marsh relieved Allison early in the second period with
Maine leading 4-0.

Tonight's game "was one of our better combined efforts," Maine
head coach Shawn Walsh said. The Black Bears outshot the
Minutemen 37-13.

Maine plays Merrimack tomorrow night at Orono at 7 p.m.
