AMHERST, Mass. -- The University of Maine Black Bears outshot
the UMass-Amherst Minutemen 53-25, but the Minutemen got the
last laugh, beating the Black Bears 4-2 Saturday night.
 
The Minutemen, ranked 43 out of 44 NCAA Division I teamsin
the latest power rankings, scored the game's first four goals.
Maine entered the game ranked first in the power rankings.
 
It was the first time this season that Maine has been down by
four goals.
