In today's Boston Globe (Sunday, Oct 31), there is a very extensive write-up
/preview of the ECAC, Hockey East, UMass, and the ECAC North-South-Central and
East-West.

The 3+ pages list short summaries on each team in each of the conferences I
listed above. They show Harvard's, UMass's, and the Entire Hockey East
composite schedule. The Preseason All-Star teams are listed, as well as the
official Coaches' Polls of the two big leagues (in the east, that is) and
certain writers' preseason predictions for the leagues.

It is extensive and would be loved by any eastern college hockey fan.

I would suggest to anyone in reach of a Boston Globe that you pick it up
(if your local store still has it) and read the section (good for saving to
compare with at the end of the year). If nothing else, it will help cast the
vote that we like seeing college hockey get a write-up of this magnitude.
The UMass story will also make anyone a UMass Hockey fan.

Pictures of Geoff Bumstead (Cornell), Tripp Tracy (Harvard), Cal Ingraham
(Maine), and Jon Pratt (BU) make the article also.

If you can't find it, call the Globe and ask for the Oct 31 edition, "the one
with the college hockey preview," and see if they'll send it to you.

As always, in love with the greatest sport in the world (well, after ice
broomball)...
