Well, instead of studying for an abstract algebra midterm, I thought I would
enter the fray and see how a hockey-l newbie does against the experts:

1st round:
                CLARKSON over MINNESOTA
Ski-U-Mah looks good, but I think Clarkson is the hottest team in the
country...except for my pick to win it all.

                MIAMI over WISCONSIN
Yeah, this is sentimental, but the 'Skins have been playing solid
hockey all semester long, and their loss at the Joe will put them over the top.

                NMU over HARVARD
Again, go with the hot team. A month ago, I would have gone the other
way, but Harvard has fallen off a bit in my mind.

                Minn-Duluth over BROWN
Two teams I personally don't know much about, but when in doubt, go
with the higher seed. :)

2nd round:
                MAINE over CLARKSON
Tough call, but I think the bears will take this one.

                MIAMI over MICHIGAN
The season series is 1-1-1, with the tie in Ann Arbor. I watched
Michigan against LSSU in Detroit; I think the 'Skins will repeat their victory
over the Wolverines from February. This one might go to OT, too.

                BU over NMU
If they can beat Maine, they can beat NMU, IMHO.

                LSSU over MINN-DULUTH
The Lakers have an awful lot of playoff experience, winning the CCHA
three times in a row. That will carry them into the Phinal Phour.

Semis:
                MAINE over MIAMI
Although Miami played well against the Bears over Xmas, losing 3-1 with
an empty-netter included, sentimentality only goes so far.

                LSSU over BU
The defending champs look awfully good, as I said. All of that
experience along with a hot goaltender can do anything. Including taking out
the best the East Coast has to offer...

Final: LSSU over Maine, 5-3.
