Well, up here in the North Country, Clarkson and SLU get pretty good coverage.
There is usually one or two midweek stories on either/both of the teams. Mainly
because most sporting life is centered around the two teams (as well as high
school athletics).  Yes, the local papers do a good job of coverage.
 
Back home, the Albany Times-Union gives a great deal of coverage to Union
and especially RPI. The week of RPI-Union, there is usually a story everday
on one or both teams. They do a good job of covering the rest of the ECAC and
college hockey with their writers Keith Marder (?) and Bob "TCHCR's biggest
fan" Croce. College hockey takes precedence over almost any other sporting
even in the section. The same thing could be said about the TV coverage
in the area in that coll hockey comies first.
