Following is a recap of last night's game: Clarkson at Princeton.

Disclaimer: I listened to this one on the radio. So: forgive me if
the names are miss-spelled or totally wrong.

Clarkson 8, Princeton 6
This was a good game for Clarkson. One that was much needed. It also
saw the return of Dave Trombley (still in form) and some playing time for Ed
Sabo. Scott Thomas played with a cast for a broken thumb sustained last week
in the Brown game. Maybe he should keep it on all season as he got a hat trick
last night.
Clarkson came out with the determination to play 60 minutes of hockey
something that hadn't been doing. With Clarkson applying immediate pressure
and taking 3 or 4 shots on High, in goal for Princeton, Scott Thomas got his
first goal of the night at 1:28. Going into the zone Cassleman shot the puck
over the net. Torrey went into the corner and dug the puck out and passed it
back to Cassleman. He centered it to Thomas in the slot who got it by High.
High was then replaced by Salisbury (sp?). Clarkson would continue to pressure.
Mark Green brought the puck into the zone and got it to Trombley behind the net.
He would battle for the puck and then quickly put it out front to Conroy who
would beat Salisbury @ 6:31. So instead of being behind by two, Clarkson was
ahead by two. With Kozak and another Clarkson player in the box, Princeton had
a 5 on 3 pp. Princeton would look good all night on the pp and wind up scoring
thier first 4 goals that way. Campersall fired a shot in that Currie would stop
but LaPerierre would put the rebound in the net @ 8:38. Clarkson was hitting
well, applying good pressure and getting the bounces. Quite different
from thier past efforts. On thier second pp, Clarkson was passing the
puck real well and Miko Tavi was able to get a quick shot off and beat
Salisbury who was out of position @ 18:20. I believe the assists went
to Sanderson and Trombley.
Clarkson began the second period with 11 seconds of pp. With
Clarkson still maintaining possession, Hugo Belanger was able to score
@ :17 from Conroy and Trombley. Those 5 or 10 seconds after a pp are
quuite dangerous with the pp team still pressing. The penalized man
hasn't quite returned and the defending team can't let up. Ref Dave St.
Louis called 11 penalties in this period, with interference being the
most popular. On the pp, Scott Thomas scored again @ 1:40. Henrich had
passed it to Tretowicz at the other point who then fired it on goal.
Thomas then picked up the rebound and beat Salisbury. It was now 5-1
Clarkson, who had scored the fist two goals of both periods relatively
early. With Princeton on the pp, Campersall put a rising shot on Currie
who had gone down to score @ 4:57. Clarkson would have several great
chances before Thomas scored again on the pp. Salisbury made several
big saves a kept some hope alive for Princeton. With Clarkson on the
pp, Dubinsky won the draw to the left of Salisbury. Tretowicz got the
puck at the point and passed it to Thomas who was all alone in the slot.
Thomas would shoot, and then pick up his own rebound and back hand it in
@ 11:39. The penalties would keep coming one after the other with the
teams trading pps. Princeton wound up 5 on 3 for 8 seconds. They
didn't waste the chance as Gausstad (sp?) scored the first of his three
@ 13:36 from Murphy. The period would end at 6-3 Clarkson.
Clarkson came out strong in the third period as well. Torrey scored
@ 1:20 from Cassleman and M. Green. Princeton got thier first even
strength goal @ 6:25 when LaPerierre scored from Faust and Gormand. A
Princeton player hooked Trombley down as broke in on High now back in
goal to set up Clarkson's next goal. Tertowicz found Dubinsky all alone
10' in front of the net. Dubinsky shot the puck in between High's legs.
Dubinsky from Tertowicz and Henrich @ 8:33 pp. Gausstad scored on the
pp at 10:20 from Campersall and Faust. Faust is quite dangerous putting
great shots on net from the point during the pp. After the Dubinsky
goal, Clarkson tried to sit on thier four goal lead. But Gausstad would
score once more at 13:00 from Bigelow and Dulincus (I know I spelled it
wrong). Clarkson would tighten up the defense some more and not allow
Princeton any more chances. Princeton was not able to pull High in the
last 3 minutes as Clarkson kept the play out of their zone.

Overall this was how Clarkson is really capable of skating. The
coaches must be relieved and happy, though there were 6 goals against.
However 2 were at 2 men down and 2 were at 1 man down. Clarkson pp
scoring percentage is @ 43.4% and killing percentage @ 81%, both good
numbers. Something was mentioned about the US and Canada playing The
Soviet Dynamo team. Faust and Tretowicz were mentioned as players for
these games on Dec. 18 and 19. Does anyone have anymore info? One of
Clarkson's recruiters was interviewed. They're looking for fast skating
good skills forwards (3) next year. They have already found a
replacement for Tretowicz. Clarkson has lost a possible forward form
Oakville Ont. to Cornell, and are looking at one from Torornto along
with Michigan and Michigan State.

Other scores:
Harvard 8, UVM 2 (Haven't all but one of Harvard's wins been at home. A
	big factor.)
Cornell 4, Yale 2
Colgate 4, Brown 3
UNH 4, RPI 3
Army 2, SLU 2 going into OT, this is NOT a final score.
