The center for Montreal is at fault for not noticing Patrick Roy was
not ready. It is part of the Center's Bible to always check that
your team is "set" before you step in to take the face off. In
fact, the center doublely screwed up by loosing the draw. If he
would have won the draw, The Habs probably could have avoided a
goal against.  If the ref does happen to see that the goalie is
fixing his pads, he will most always be courteous enough to
hold up play, but it is ultimately the center's  responsibility.
