This is onceagain my plea for all those that conduct polls to begin to have
no less than a top 25.
 
Reasons....
 
- " We need to market hockey to those that do not know the hockey rather
than those that do"
 
- The NCAA Hockey Committee on a conference call last week is reccommending
that all polls be include 25 teams.
 
- Today's USA had a Pre-season lacrosse poll w/25. Note there are 52 D-I Lax
schools!
 
- The NCAA will be selecting 12 teams from a list of "Teams under
Consideration" of 25.
 
- I am not familiar with any other NCAA sports that has a poll with teams
less than 25
 
- More teams in polls creates more media involvement
 
- The fact that in all newspaoers all sports have top 25 while hockey is
only top 10, making the general public thinking that we have a small sport
 
- within the next two years we will have over 61 D-I hockey playing schools

59 Bemidji
60 Alabama Huntsville
61 Iowa State??
