Well, its their sixth straight trip to HockeyEast
semi-finals anyhow. Last year, Lowell and BU both
made their fifth straight trip, but the Riverhawks
will go on without the Terriers this year.

Lowell is playing some pretty good hockey right
now, demonstrating this with some sound thrashings
on Northeastern's ice. Lowell has never been a
team to let the opponents rink play a big part in
the outcome of playoff games ( see
03/97-Providence, 03/95-Northeastern,
03/94-Michigan State and 03/96-Michigan State ).

They have however had a real tough time playing
the Terriers in HockeyEast semi-final and final
matchups. They've always played them exceptionally
close but just came up short of beating them.
Well, they won't get a chance to exorcise that
ghost this time around, but they will get the
opportunity to revenge Maine's come from behind
semifinal win two years ago. Lowell was only able
to muster a tie against the Black Bears this
season but I'm sure they'll have different results
on Friday night - prediction Lowell 6, Maine 2.
