As a "cross-town" rival, I'd like to go on record to
extend congratulations and praise for Trevor Koenig's career
as the goaltender for Union College. As years go by, he will be
remembered and honored as one of the key players that legitimized
Union's Division 1 hockey program. During his career, he led Union
into the ECAC playoffs twice and became Union's first Division 1
All-American. For such a small school in its early years in
Division 1, this is an accomplishment that "school legends" are
made of.

As the article in a recent Albany Times-Union stated, Koenig
is undrafted but may very well have a future in professional
hockey ahead of him. I predict we haven't heard the last of Trevor
Koenig.
