Someone requested some information about UAA goalie Paul Krake, (sorry, I lost
the message) so here it is. This is from the UAA '91 - '92 Program.

A bonafide All-American candidate, Paul has established himself as one of the
most exciting - if not best - goaltenders in UAA history...saw plenty of action
last season playing 37 of UAA's 43 games, competing for USA Select Team in USA
Cup competition in December and participating in the 1991 World B Championship
in Leningrad, USSR...earned a bevy of honors last season including the UAA
Athlete of the Year and Most Valuable Player of the Nissan/Jeep Classic...was
also named to the Nissan/Jeep/Eagle Independant Tourney All-Tournament Team and
was named the Seawolves' Most Valuable Player at the post-season hockey
banquet...registered 30 or more saves 11 times last year including a
season-high 43 in UAA's 3-2 victory over Boston College in the NCAAs and 41 in
the Seawolves 5-4 overtime win against British Columbia to cap their second
straight Nissan/Jeep Classic title...averaged an eye-popping 38 saves in UAA's
last four games in 1990-91 as the Seawolves swept NCAA first round Boston
College and fell to eventual champion Northern Michigan...set UAA records for
most wins (18), most saves (947), and most shutouts (4) in a season in
90-91...registered 30 or more saves seven times as a sophomore and posted a
8-6-2 record that same year...was drafted in the eighth round by the Quebec
Nordiques in the summer of 1989...saw action in 19 games as a freshman - tops
among UAA goalies highlight of his freshman season came the 1989 Nissan/Jeep
Classic where he was in goal for both UAA victories and was voted the tourney's
Most Valuable Player...stand-up style netminder, uses his good size well to
fill up the net...possesses a quick glove hand and is not afraid to pass the
puck to begin a break out...played two seasons with Fort Saskatchewan Traders,
was a cumulative 30-24-6...prior to juniors career, was tabbed top goalie of
the Alberta Province Select 16 team...father, Skip, formerly played in the NHL
with the Boston Bruins...hobbies include water skiing, golf, and cycling...born
3-25-69 in Springfield, MA...Justice Major
