IMHO, it wouldn't be a college hockey game without "noise". The Pep
band is half the reason I went to Clarkson hockey games when I was
in Potsdam.
 
As far as the stereo goes, why not have it? Playing music during
a break in the action brings more life to the venue. Granted, the
"sounds" of hockey are wonderful to hear, but I don't think it hurts
play some music now and again.
