Excessive penalties aren't just restricted to a particular league,
or just the varsity level. Last night Cornell had its first
scheduled hockey game of the season, a junior varsity game between

neither particularly chippy nor particularly hard-hitting: 28 minor
penalties, 14 to each team. 8 of the penalties were for interference.
