I told my boss about the interest in using Native American nicknames for
teams.  She's a Potawatomi and says that there's a group that is getting
ready to file lawsuits against teams, schools, etc. that have nicknames
that are offensive to Native Americans.  She's read about them on
Indianet, on the Internet, where there's been quite a bit of discussion
about name of Native American Nations.  The Potawatomis are another
Nation that is considering changing their name because that name was
given to them by others.
