When I saw Mike's post the other day, I started looking into the question. It
turns out the answer wasn't readily available; i.e., it's not specifically
mentioned in the NCAA Manual. It may be in the rules interpretations stuff,
but that wasn't immediately available to me, so I didn't feel I could reply
to the issue right away. Anyway, realizing how much HOCKEY-L'ers want to buy
beer for former players, I'm checking into the matter through some sources.
Will be early next week before I have anything to report to the list, but if
everyone can be patient, I'll try to get you an "authoritative" answer to
Mike's posting.
