Island Readers & Writers (islandreadersandwriters.org) would like to invite you and your patrons to join us at the Henry D. Moore Library on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 7:00pm in Steuben as author, illustrator & musician Stephen Costanza brings his picture book, King of Ragtime: The Story of Scott Joplin to life with a musical presentation!

Stephen will share songs and slides to bring us into Scott Joplin’s world as he follows his life and talents from childhood to becoming a famed African-American composer. Quilts made by local quilters will be on display for this program, illustrating the kind of traditional craftsmanship, design, and storytelling that Stephen drew inspiration from when he illustrated King of Ragtime. Copies of the book will be available for purchase, which Stephen can sign at the event. Light refreshments will be served, no registration is required.

Event information available at: https://islandreadersandwriters.org/events/king-of-ragtime-with-stephen-costanza/

We hope to see you there!

Warmly,

-Kelsey
