Stonington Public Library will host Phuc Tran, author of the Maine Literary
Award-winning memoir *Sigh, Gone*, for a live Zoom reading followed by Q&A
on Wednesday, December 1 at 5:30pm. Our book club read and loved *Sigh,
Gone*, and we are hopeful that he will pick up his story where he left off
in a second volume. We welcome anyone interested to join SPL and Phuc for
stories from his childhood in small town Pennsylvania after his family fled
Sài Gòn Việt Nam in 1975. Hearing Phuc read selections will be a bonus for
our book club members, but no prior knowledge of the book is required to
participate and enjoy his gift for bringing the past alive on the page. We
promise there will be no pop quiz.
