Hello All, Just a reminder that South Berwick PL Director Karen Eger will present on her community's indigenous land acknowledgement project Friday, Oct. 22 at 10:30 AM. To attend the webinar, go to https://maine-msl.libcal.com/event/8290341 to get the Zoom session link.

Indigenous Land Acknowledgements

One of the components of working toward equity and justice is recognizing the contributions and the existence of marginalized groups. An indigenous land acknowledgement, provides a frequent reminder to a community that we are here, you are here, and others are here and have been for 12, 000 years. Join South Berwick resident Karen Benoit and library director Karen McCarthy Eger to explore the concept, process, and implementation of a land acknowledgement at your library.

Please direct questions to Karen Eger at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> . Hope you can join us for this innovative program. Deb
