Good Evening Friends and Colleagues,

Just a friendly reminder that we have a handful of spots left for our Osher
Map Library and Smith Center for Cartographic Education *Zoom Webinar
conversation tomorrow afternoon with authors Matt Brown, Rhys B. Davies and
illustrator Mike Hall who will discuss their newly published book: **Atlas
of Imagined Places: From Lilliput to Gotham City*, a gorgeous volume of
fictional geography drawn from the world’s most-loved literary fiction,
films, and television series.

*This is the virtual opening event for our brand new gallery exhibit (which
opened today!) North of Nowhere, West of the Moon: Myth, Fiction, and
Fantasy in Maps.*

*The OML gallery is open on USM's Portland Campus from 10am-4pm,
Tuesday-Fridays, and Saturdays, 10-3. Gallery visits from folks external to
USM are by appointment only (a timed ticket), and you can register for your

*USM students, faculty, and staff may drop in any time during open hours to
see the exhibit (all Saturday visits are by appointment). *
