New webinars and face to face continuing education events for April and May have been added to the statewide CE calendar (http://evanced.info/maine/evanced/eventcalendar.asp ). There is something for everyone on the calendar in April from common core and school library spaces, E-gov and eBooks, fundraising, tween services, digital archiving and perspectives on academic patrons. In May, we have LibraryYou, an exciting digital services program out of California. Webinars are color coded purple or maroon on the calendar.

Also in May we have scheduled the orientation for New Public Library Directors. If you've been a library director for fewer than 3 years, you're encouraged to attend this session. The District Spring Council meetings are May 15, 16 and 17. The topics are "Help, I'm not a Social Worker" and Library Image Audit.

As always, remember the online courses available through WebJunction Maine ( http://www.webjunction.org/partners/maine.html ). Due to their migration to a new system, if you had a WebJunction account on the old site but never actually enrolled in a course, you will need to go through the application and approval process again in order to access the course catalog. If you have any problems accessing your account, contact user support at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
