OMG!!  Congratulations, Sarah!!!!  It is sad that Steve is leaving, but if anyone can lead the library I know it is you:)

On behalf of PPL�s Board of Trustees, I am delighted to let you know that Sarah Campbell has been appointed the Library�s next Executive Director, effective July 11, 2015. Many of you already know Sarah, who joined PPL in 2001 and has served as PPL�s Associate Director since 2013. Sarah will succeed Steve Podgajny, who announced in June 2014 his decision to retire after nine years of service as Executive Director.

This appointment comes at the end of a nine-month national search. Sarah�s compelling vision for the future of the Library, her ability to build partnerships, her grasp of emerging trends, and her commitment to core library services and to Portland�s history � all these combine to make Sarah the ideal new leader for PPL.
