Hello all,
As the person moving on from this position, I wanted to give it a plug- KFL
has been an amazing place to work and the person who steps into this role
will find an incredible environment in which to spend their day. There will
be lots of laughter, thoughtful conversation, a shared vision of library
goals, lots of cat talk, and often a table full of snacks. That said:
Kennebunk Free Library is seeking an enthusiastic and self-driven
individual to fill our Cataloging and Technical Services Librarian
position. This is a great opportunity to move forward with a well-loved,
respected, and supported nonprofit and build on 100+ years of providing
high-quality services to our community.
The ideal individual will be up-to-date with cataloging best practices,
have experience with Sierra and/or Minerva, and be comfortable working with
patrons, staff, and the library community around the state. Be ready to be
welcomed to our supportive, flexible, and family-friendly environment by
our staff of 15. This position includes excellent benefits and many
discussions about cats.
The Town of Kennebunk is a coastal community located 25 miles south of
Portland, ME and 25 miles north of Portsmouth, NH. The service population
of KFL is 16,000 and includes both the Towns of Kennebunk and Arundel.
This is a salaried position: $46,000 - $50,000.
