The North Atlantic Health Sciences Libraries (NAHSL) Education Committee is pleased to announce that registration is now open for a free, hour-long online webinar: Creating Virtual Escape Rooms for Library Training and Marketing

Date: Wednesday, September 14, 2022
1:00 PM –2:00 PM EST

Description: This one hour session will cover how to create virtual escape rooms in OneNote and PowerPoint. There will be a short discussion of the evidence supporting gamification in education. We will create a PowerPoint escape room together as a group for hands-on practice. Finally, we will discuss how escape room can be used for training, marketing, and outreach.

The session will provide opportunities for attendees to select different items for the PowerPoint escape room. A handout will be provided to attendees so they can follow along on their own PowerPoint programs. There will be a short breakout room where attendees will discuss how to use escape rooms for library programming, and a large group discussion where breakout rooms report out their main ideas.

Instructor: Jessie Casella, Librarian, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

Technical Requirements: Webinar via Zoom

Cost: FREE
