We are staying open for the time being. We are expanding our hours so that
we can spread out our foot traffic and have staff work without overlapping
more than necessary. We are encouraging requesting materials in advance,
using the book drop, and not pursuing overdue items for the time being. We
are discouraging browsing and lingering. All Makers Space material has been
put away. Of course we will continue sanitation practices.

Not an easy decision, but we looked at our position within the community
and came to the conclusion that it was important to continue to provide
service as long as possible. No bravado here and we’re making no judgments
of what anyone else is doing - we’re just trying to keep going while taking
precautions. We’re going to be flexible and if the situation dictates
additional changes, we will make them.

One ask: please do not encourage patrons to come to Turner PL because we
are remaining open. Normally, we’d love to see all the people, but we’ve
based our plan on not having a massive increase in traffic. Thank you in
advance for understanding.

Best to all,
Ellen Bradley
