Here at the Maine State Library, we would like to encourage  you all to not only celebrate black  history this month, but all year round. At the link below you'll find a PDF that you can download that talks about why and how to do this.  I hope you'll all consider taking a look at it.  And if anyone has great ideas that are not listed on there, let me know and I'd be happy to add them.

We're also excited to have started our own journey to create an equity-based approach to CE and other MSL Services. Over the next 8 weeks we will be working with a facilitator team to co-design a DEI framework. The framework will help us develop DEI resources to use in reviewing library practice and procedures to work towards more equitable library services for your communities.  We are also planning for opportunities to engage directly with you on the process, so stay tuned!
