The Maine State Library is pleased to announce the first round of the Maine Public Library Fund (Tax Check-Off) grants.
Awardees were notified by email yesterday.  Congratulations to all these libraries!  Those libraries that applied and weren't funded - please apply again in February 2017!
These grants are funded by tax donations made on the Maine Income Tax Schedule CP which is used for voluntary charitable contributions.
Public libraries benefit through this donation and below is the list of the 17 Maine public libraries receiving grants for fall 2016.
There will be another grant application period in spring 2017.
