Not sure how this comment is supposed to be taken:

RPI's record against Hockey East is quite reputable.  The Engineers lost to
Merrimack and New Hampshire, but beat BU and Maine on unfriendly ice and
trounced U Mass Lowell in the Xmas Tournament.  By now it is not a surprise
when RPI loses to a theoretically inferior team, witness Princeton.  But their
play against the elite teams has been very satisfying, and will certainly be a
factor come NC$$ bid time.  Their play the past two weekends may mark an end
to the surprises.
