not that the hockey community's decisions revolve around my
opinions, but i agree that the idea of clearing the arena of fans
is a good one, especially as an alternative to punishing the team
with a forfeit. It's not fair to the "good" fans, but one hopes
they'd see the value in the threat and in making good with it.
that's a great idea, John, but to try and take credit away from
you :) -- is there a precedent for it? I've never heard of this
happening, although someone once mentioned the bizzarre
instance of an ECAC game being played at RPI as a neutral
site because of worries about violence between teams or
fans or whatever.
