Bill talks about players missing games due to playing for major junior
teams. Add another player to that list: Maine's Michel Latendresse. He
sat out all of last season and missed the first four games of this season
after playing four games with a major junior team. As if Maine wasn't
loaded enough up front, Latendresse is another highly-regarded player from
what I've heard. He's a 5-10 160-lb soph center from Montreal, who led his
Tier II league in 1990-91 with 54-79--133 in 43 games; he went on to win
the playoff MVP with 28-25--53 in 20 playoff games. All info from the
Maine media guide.

The only question is when Latendresse is eligible. The Boston Globe
reported yesterday that he'd have to sit out four games, then said he'd be
eligible for the Merrimack series Nov 13-14 (which would be Maine's 6th-7th
games of the year). Unless the suspension is for games against NC$$ teams,
in which case the games against New Brunswick this past weekend do not
count towards his suspension and he would be eligible for the 2nd Merrimack
game Nov 14th.
