Do you really think they wouldn't automatically make the MAAC team a 6th seed? I too came up with them getting a 5 seed, but seriously. When you play teams like that all year.... It's really messed up....
Oh well.

Subject: If the Season Ended Today

Using the pairwise comparisons as of yesterday and giving each
conference's auto-bid to the highest remainign seed in their
tournament, I come up with the following best guess at the brackets as
they stand now:

 5W Mercyhurst (M) 6E Wisconsin (W)
 4W Minnesota (W) 3E Maine (H)
      1W Mich State (C) --+--2E St Cloud (W)
                            |
      2W North Dakota (W) --+--1E Boston Coll (H)
 3W Michigan (C) 4E CO College (W)
 6W Providence (H) 5E St Lawrence (E)

Details can be found under "If the Season Ended Today", which I've
just added to the hockey geek menu at http://slack.net/hockey/

Note that these are not the brackets that would result if every
conference tournament game is won by the higher-seeded team. To work
that out, use the "What if" interface to the "You Are The Committee"
script, also linked from slack.net/hockey (pronounced "slack dot net
slash hockey").
