Today at 4:30, Syracuse University and SU Hockey break ground on a new
on-campus ice arena. The arena, funded greatly by a 4 million-dollar
donation by Mr and Mrs William Tennity will help to advance the ACHA
Division-I team towards NCAA Division-I status. This new arena will be a
move from the team's current home, the New York State Fairgrounds which
is located about 15 minutes off-campus with a capacity of 3,500. The new
home will allow for more practice time and an expanded fan-base with
games on-campus.
