Since these two teams are being compared and I haven't seen the following
mentioned, I will add it to the discussion.

FWIW: Canisius played at Mankato one week before playing at Quinnipiac
early in the season. Mankato won 11-3 and 6-0, Quinnipiac won 6-3 and 2-1
in OT. Later in the season, Quinnipiac tied Canisius twice.

11/14/98 Connecticut 3 at Quinnipiac 8 ma 7:00 ET
02/05/99 Connecticut 1 at Quinnipiac 0 ma 7:00 ET
02/06/99 Quinnipiac 4 at Connecticut 1 ma 7:30 ET
I don't seem to have the Quinnipiac v. Air Force scores but I am pretty
sure that they split a pair of games.

The records of these two teams against common opponents is:
MSU-Mankato 6-0-0
Quinnipiac 5-3-0

It would seem pretty clear that Mankato is the stronger team and I have not
seen anyone claiming that the Mavericks should be among the 12 teams in the
NCAA's.
